I know not AIBU but posting here for traffic.

My lovely nan turns 94 on Sunday, ive called round today and asked what she wants and she's said she needs new knickers as her current lot must be 10 years old 😭 (had no idea but tbf I've knickers that age that are fine)

I remember buying her Sloggis a long time ago, any other recommendations as they are a fortune now

M and S full briefs?

NancyJoan · 22/08/2022 22:22

I would suggest Damart, but it looks like their website is down. My mum shops for an elderly relative, I’m sure I remember her buying these once, they look like Sloggis www.shawsdirect.com/product/interlock-briefs/

Marks and spencers

YourWinter · 22/08/2022 22:26

M&S? John Lewis own brand underwear is overpriced and not great quality but they do stock Sloggi too.

Beamur · 22/08/2022 22:30

You can usually get Sloggis cheaper in factory outlet type shops.
Otherwise, M&S, Next or supermarkets. I have some very comfy apple catchers from Tesco!

nowtygaffer · 22/08/2022 22:34

I bought some in tesco recently, £6 for 5 pairs and they are cotton and very comfy 😊.

gogohmm · 22/08/2022 22:43

Can't go wrong with M&S full briefs

ThinWomansBrain · 22/08/2022 22:51

Amazon
INNERSY Womens Underwear Soft Cotton Knickers Multipack High Waist Pants
Not cheap (£25 for £5, so comparable to Sloggi), but superbly made, very soft cotton, and comfortable.
there's several manufacturers selling a similar style, but these are the best ones I've had - the elastic at the waist is a lot deeper.
Woulsn't wear anything else now.

If you happen to be in parts of the north east or Yorkshire then Boyes is always a good bet.

If you are not then you will have no idea what I am talking about. (Boyes nearest comparator is Woolworths I would say - sells household goods, clothes, DIY, fishing, and lots of haberdashery)

Sainsburys do some lovely cotton full briefs as good as M&S

Afterfire · 22/08/2022 23:00

You can get full briefs if that’s what you mean from pretty much anywhere now, they’re pretty fashionable again!

Tu at Sainsburys and Yours are my faves.

Perfect Granny knickers! Bought these for my mum in law as she’s unable to get to the shops as much these days , they are hard to find in the usual places .

M and S all the way. I wouldn’t use anything else. The full briefs are perfect. I even used the larger sizes as maternity pants when I was pregnant (so comfortable even then)

Bon marche
