To feel I’m always saying something wrong

With Sil/in-laws

My Sil is a strong character, I find it ok talking with her but also get paranoid I’m saying something wrong or she’s taking it the wrong way or just might because she might not like me.
Does anyone feel the same? Like when they leave, I’m pretty convinced she probably bitches about me.
Will I ever grow out of trying to make a good impression/giving a shit

What is your relationship like with sil

One SIL we get on like a house on fire, but we were actually friends before I got/met DH (didn't meet through her just random chance.)

The other SIL I'm NC with so I couldn't care. 😅

Look up the circle of influence. You can only control certain things etc. If she butches when you’re gone then it’s her own issue. Easier said than done, took me a few years to think like this.

@Kernowfet I don’t *Know 100% if she does, but I imagine so…I always feel I may have unintentionally said something that will annoy/offend her, I don’t think this about anyone else

@incognitopurple I thought I’d grown out of trying to make a good impression-clearly not!

IMO if someone makes you feel like that you have to give them as wide a berth as possible! Can you avoid situations around her at all?
