To think DP should refund postage as they sent the wrong sized shoe!

Basically I ordered a size 7 shoe from Dorothy perkins in the sale. I paid £3.99 postage not expecting any issues with sizing. However when I tried them on they were slightly big and noticed on the label it was a wide fitting shoe. No where on the product page or description does it say they are wide fitting! So now to return them I have to also pay a £1.99 postage fee so that's nearly £6 postage for £10 pair of shoes. DP are saying they sent the right size so basically tough. But a normal size 7 and a a wide fitting size 7 are not the same!

These are the shoes. On the inside of the sole of my shoe it says wide fitting. It doesn't on these.

I thought you meant your "dear partner" for a moment then! Yes they should cover postage and update their listing to specify they are wide fit somewhere

Lockheart · 22/08/2022 17:06

They have these in a wide fit and regular fit version. First double check your order to make absolutely sure you did not order the wide fit size by accident.

If not, can you take them in to a store with your order and ask a person face to face?

Rodion · 22/08/2022 17:08

7 and 7W are two different sizes, so assuming 7W wasn't written anywhere on your order then I'd say they are clearly wrong.

Honkytonky12 · 22/08/2022 17:09

Oh no sorry 🙈🙈. I can't see anything on my order that says wide fit or on the description. I just thought it's strange they seemed big and noticed the label said wide fitting. We don't have a store in out town so all online. The lady on FB basically said I have to pay the fees to return them as they've sent the right size.. Size yes but worng fitting!

Forget Facebook, email them! I got a helpful response from them on email. But the people on Twitter were not helpful.

DP don’t have bricks and mortar shops, it’s online only.

ShaneTwane · 22/08/2022 17:13

Absolutely email thats ridiculous. Normal and wide fitting are two different shoes. You shouldn't have to pay to return their mistake.

SheWoreYellow · 22/08/2022 17:13

So they’ve sent you these instead. Is the produce code different? I’d go with ‘wrong product’ and quote the codes.

SheWoreYellow · 22/08/2022 17:14

Yeah. It is a different code - AQQ05631-3

SheWoreYellow · 22/08/2022 17:15

(Just checked the code, it now looks like I’m talking to myself!)

Honkytonky12 · 22/08/2022 17:19

Haha sorry I couldn't do the link! Yes the wide fitting one are £31 and I definitely didn't order them! But it says wide fit in the sole of the shoe 🙄

Isn't there a box on the online return form to tick for incorrect item received?

DashboardConfessional · 22/08/2022 18:27

YANBU. They have picked and packed from the wrong warehouse location.

Yes, there is.

Honkytonky12 · 22/08/2022 19:28

Ah I will have a look thankyou. I will just be annoyed if they do not reimburse my both my postage fees seeing as its their mistake.
