It's a house spider and yes it has fangs. All spiders have fangs and can bite, most of them don't even break the top layer of skin though.

Keyansier · 21/08/2022 18:16

Yep, and all spiders are venomous too.

Havetoast · 21/08/2022 18:19

^ not all spiders are venomous (uloboridae) - but most are

You are not being a wimp at all I would be exactly the same x

Ask it how many flies it will eat while it's in your home. If it's enough, give it lodgings for the foreseeable.

I don't mind spiders , though our dog has other ideas, but I cannot abide flies.

Just a normal house spider, that's a female, she's come out to find a mate.

If you can catch and release nicely, please do, if you don't like them get a little spray bottle and make up a white vinegar, or lemon juice spray and spray around.

They really are harmless though.

House spider looking for a bit of hanky panky. 😉. Often seen late August to September.

Thanks everyone. It just seemed very big!

I wouldn't ever kill a spider. Have got my dh to take it outside for me!
