Talking in the late evening

Oh had a go at me this morning because last night I told him repeatedly "can you sit down" and "move I can't see the TV" it was about 11pm we were inside the house in the living room located at the front of the house, however our neighbours smoke outside their front door and prior to me saying this we could smell the smoke...
our windows were closed and I wasn't talking louder than the TV or so I thought...
Oh says I was saying it to him to get the neighbours attention - I have never met the neighbours or even seen them for that matter...
Whose BU?

Is it me or have you missed some sentences out?

Angelinflipflops · 20/08/2022 17:56

I'd be well pissed off with neighbours smoking outside my window

PinkButtercups · 20/08/2022 17:57

Huh?

VerifiedBot2351 · 20/08/2022 17:59

I’m not quite sure what you are getting at.

elliesmummy19 · 20/08/2022 18:01

I have no idea what’s going on?

HappyHamsters · 20/08/2022 18:02

Why are you telling another adult man to sit down and move out the way

hairymclaryforever · 20/08/2022 18:06

?

Thefriendlymoth · 20/08/2022 18:10

Eh? I’m confused about the relevance of the neighbours and why your OH would think you said it to get their attention but also think it’s a pretty rude way to speak to your partner.

xyzzyx · 20/08/2022 18:18

Oh was gagging around drunk literally just standing in front of the tv for no reason. I asked nicely at first but then he just stood there not even realising he was in the way

OP posts:
Penseuse · 20/08/2022 18:21

Why was he standing around in the middle of the room, drunk or sober? What do the neighbours, regardless of their smoking habits, have to do with any of it?

xyzzyx · 20/08/2022 18:38

Honestly I have no idea. We've recently moved to this area but I've never seen the neighbours whereas oh has and says they look like show off people but in reality prob have no clothes because they walk around topless (the males) I just think oh is intimidated by them or something but is adamant he isn't. I certainly am not interested in someone who smokes outside the house and the smell lingers into ours unfortunately

What on earth are on you about? I have no idea!!

Oysterbabe · 20/08/2022 18:42

He was drunk and just standing in the middle of the room and thought you were talking to him to get the neighbours attention?
What?

xyzzyx · 20/08/2022 18:43

Right I'm confused as all you are. I have no idea why he though I was trying to get the neighbours attention if I was directly talking to him

OP posts:
SapphosRock · 20/08/2022 18:51

You partner thought you were shouting at him to move to attract the attention of your topless, male neighbours?

xyzzyx · 20/08/2022 19:07

Yes exactly that sounds ridiculous I know...

OP posts:
Staynow · 20/08/2022 20:27

He's being a dick because he's intimidated by them walking around half naked and is jealous so is projecting it onto you that you must be trying to get attention from them. Low self esteem is so boring in a partner IMO. Tell him he's being a dick and if he doesn't want you telling him repeatedly to get out of the way of the tv then he should sit down first time. Don't let him push his insecurities onto you, he is being a dick.

fufflecake · 20/08/2022 20:35

Is your partner high? Is he usually extremely jealous for no good reason?

DeanStockwelll · 20/08/2022 20:44

Good god this is a confusing post , op can you start again

What have your neighbours got to do with you or your OH
Why is your OH so drunk he doesn't know he is in your way / blocking TV
