I do not get why they don't book an escort?

A friend even saw on a Sugar Daddy website "Under 35 Sugar Baby, over 35 FWB".

Its gross isn't it, aibu?

Because they'd rather find a consenting partner by being up front about their intentions than have sex with someone who at best is only fucking them for their money and at worst is fucking them because they're being forced to.

Your OP implied there's something wrong with a FWB set up. So long as both parties know that's the deal, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it and is a million miles away from escorts / prostitution.

Nothing wrong with hookup sites, both sexes are consenting and are there because they want it.

The sugar baby post is a bit grim. But it’s on a Sugar Daddy website. Plenty of men will only provide that for younger women. But then your objection would be to the actual site and set up?

I can’t see why you think a man wanting FWB means he should be ok with prostitution.

Well actually that means it's the other way round.. women get more out of it as they are guaranteed to find someone because yes man will vastly outweigh women on there. Most men on those sites will be left wanting, but the answer isn't prostitution! Either meet someone in a pub or have a wank.

That’s nature… women are naturally more choosy than men because they’re the ones who have to carry a baby with the man’s DNA. Look up the book “Sex at Dawn” etc.

It would be for me, but it’s consenting adults making an arrangement that is clear and works for them. Each to their own.

it’s certainly not comparable to prostitution when all to often it isn’t the woman’s choice to be doing it.

What price should women put on sex then? Not all of us want a relationship. I had a few regular fuck buddies over a three year period. My nights out were for having fun with my mates. I didn't want to date, I only wanted regular sex. Why should I have had to become a prostitute to get that?

I think it's more likely they'd find an FB (fuck buddy) than an FWB (friend with benefits) on a hookup site, but who knows? You might happen to find someone you want to hang out with as well as boink (and vice versa) even if you're not looking for that. But either way, if you find someone you at least like having sex with and vice versa, why not stick with that person? Generally safer, less awkward, and fewer health risks.

Paid escorts are an entirely different thing.

No, I'd have to be gaining something other than sex. There's a loss of power that comes with prostitution. Why should I not get to choose when, with who and how I have sex?
