Stansted Airport - are queues for security/passport control still terrible?

Sorry to ask here but there is more traffic on this board. Anyone who has recently travelled via Stansted Airport, how long did you have to queue to get through security/passport control? I'm going on holiday next week and not sure how long in advance I should be there as I have heard about nightmare queues but not sure if these are better now. What was your experience? Should I buy the fast track thingies for £7?

We were there 3 weeks ago and it was totally fine, we had loads of time once we'd gone through to the departure lounge.

fine on the 8th, we were there 3 hours ahead like they said, 4 hours infact due to our lift the Ryanair self checkin ran out of paper during me using it and caused lots of grief tho 🤦🏽‍♀️ the queues were noticeable but not 3 hours, we had loads of time

On Wednesday, arrived at 6.30am, was through bag drop and security by 7.50.

It’s not too bad. The biggest holdup is the Ryanair bag drop
