DP is moving in with me soon.

I've lived alone for 5 years.

My daughter is now about to turn 13.

My other daughter is 7 and goes to bed at 730. She loves her sleep and sleeps anyrhinf from 12-14 hours lol.

We all have to be up by 7 for work/school

I need my sleep.

AIBU to ask how you manage family time and alone time with your partner before bed, when eldest child has an 830/9 bedtime? Feel like we don't get much family time as Dd2 can't stay up or she's terrible the next day. Feel like we wouldn't have much alone time either.

Can’t go out as have no family to babysit and money is tight to pay for a sitter, so our only alone time will be when kids in bed

Why can't the eldest babysit?

Then you can go out as a couple

It depends on the sibling relationship and how sensible the older one is as to whether you can leave them alone. We only started going out when our oldest turned 14. We try to settle the little one first and go for a walk together or to a local restaurant. It's a good option. She goes out a lot too so we have evenings home alone
