I always get a low level stomach ache whenever I'm on holiday or away for the weekend. What is it!

Anyone else?

Do you feel anxious about being away from home? Is it only on overnighters?

StarlightLady · 19/08/2022 17:05

Different water?

Startuplife · 19/08/2022 17:08

I usually work from home alone most of the day. I find myself bloated and uncomfortable on days I go to the office and am surrounded by other people.
I’ve slowly worked out that it’s because I’m holding in wind I’d usually let out while home alone. It often happens on holidays as well as I’m usually with DP or others 24/7
DP is also a massive prude and would be horrified if I farted in front of him 😂

MarthanotMarfa · 19/08/2022 17:09

My father has this and says it’s a change of water.

mintbiscuit · 19/08/2022 17:16

Tap water. It triggers the shits when I go over seas. I hate my weak digestive system

Anxiety? Different water? Change in eating habits?

chatterbug22 · 19/08/2022 23:00

Anxiety to do with the change of environment?

FindingMeno · 19/08/2022 23:10

I agree with pp.
Holding farts in.

Remaker · 19/08/2022 23:13

Anxiety could be one cause. Or water. I used to regularly feel nauseous when away on holiday. Now I am super strict about only drinking bottled water regardless of where we are and it doesn’t happen any more.

SkiingIsHeaven · 19/08/2022 23:18

Are you eating and drinking more or eating rich food.

I get the same from overindulging.

AlwaysAWoman · 19/08/2022 23:21

When I first moved in with my now husband I had the worst cramps as in lying on the floor in pain he kept saying you just need to fart' and was right. I thought I had IBS from the pain caused from holding it all in

scrivette · 19/08/2022 23:38

I get this sometimes and always used to when I was younger and babysitting.

I don't think it's water as I rarely drink any and think it may be linked to anxiety.
