Hello,
First time posting here as need some advice.
My sister lives near Chester and I would love to travel up and see her next weekend for a long weekend. We would leave here Friday night and return Monday morning. It’s about a three and a half hour drive away.
My daughter (3) loves going to their house as it’s quite a bit bigger than ours and adores her cousins who are all quite a bit older than her. We would also stay at their house as there’s quite a few spare rooms so wouldn’t need to book a hotel.
However, my sisters husband is working all weekend so that means my husband wouldn’t get to see him. My husband thinks this will be awkward as he won’t really have anyone to talk to. My husband gets on well with my sister and especially likes her son who’s 16. He’s not in massive favour of going as a result but said he’ll tag along if he has to.
I can’t really go on my own as I’m not a very confident driver.
Id love to see my sister as haven’t seen her since Christmas and a lot of exciting things have happened with her family since then. They’re always so busy and never have a free weekend so it’s kind of this weekend or not at all.
All her children are home as well which is getting rarer and rarer now her eldest is 19.
My daughter would love to see them and so would I.
AIBU to drag my husband along to the family meet up if he doesn’t really want to come.
TIA xx
