First world problem, I know, but please don’t shoot me.
Am on my first ever flotilla holiday, in Greece, as are a few other UK families, and we are so grateful to the lead skipper who keeps getting us all out of trouble, we were considering giving him some sort of tip and wondered whether there’s any etiquette around this?
Anyone have any experience, and what did you do?
I know he’s getting paid, but when someone repeatedly saves your boat (which contains your entire family) say from colliding with other boats, AIBU to think a thank you at the end of the week doesn’t seem like enough?
AIBU: stop over thinking this, he’s just doing his job, and you might even offend him
YANBU: Def worth a sizeable tip (but throw your etiquette thoughts at me, pls!)
