Boarding card question

Does anyone know if it matters if your title on the boarding card for British Airways is wrong? One of our group has Mrs instead of Mr. Will it matter as titles are not on the passports? I’m getting conflicting comments on google and BA are absolutely useless at getting back to us.

This wouldn't be an issue for the airline I work for. To be honest they probably won't notice the title but given these days you can identify as whatever you like, just say they identify as a female

Thank you. This is what I’m thinking. Just so stressful that there is a chance they won’t let them board.

We have emailed and been assured it will be sorted. Then told it was sorted but it wasn’t. Emailed back and told its not something they sort over email and we’d need to call! We called and email was rejected by them. Tried a different email address and it’s gone through but we need to wait for acknowledgment and then call again and we fly on Sunday.

just so fed up of it now.

You could always take print outs of the email chain to show that you have tried to rectify the issue and that it is there slow customer service that has prevented it being sorted.
Though I honestly wouldn't worry. If you've already got your boarding card then you are already checked in so no worries there, you'll use your boarding card to go through security but they won't be checking your passport, then when you go through the gate to board they are looking that the name matches the passport and that the photo matches the person in front of them. As there are no titles on the passport there is nothing to match. It's no different to if you were DR on your photo ID (if travelling domestically) and making your booking in Mr/Mrs

Relax and enjoy your holiday 😁

Thank you for your reassurance. I will take the print outs. The boarding cards are an e ticket so hopefully that will still be ok.

Airline staff here. The title is there as a courtesy to address you in emails and is not on the passport as you say. Titles are different in different countries e. g. mlle, senor, frau etc so cannot be used consistently. The only thing that it could affect is the advance passenger information so that matches the sex on the booking matches the passport sex. This can be done in manage my booking if it's available to you (possibly not now you have boarding cards) or the airline can overtype it. It's not a problem, it just means the title was mistyped when the booking was made.

Thank you for your reassurance. I really hope it will be ok.

Can I ask another question to you airline staff please?

trying to upload covid recovery certificate onto airlines app and unvaccinated teens won’t verify. (Going to Spain)

we have the positive test cert and the recovery cert. We don’t seem to need anything else unless I’m missing something?

don’t want to get to the airport to check in and we can’t go.

That sounds correct, check www.gov.uk for latest info. Type in Spain and look at entry requirements. My kids are vaxxed so no personal experience despite having just been and we don’t give advice like this out at work as it’s the passengers responsibility to check.
