How do I not this women get under my skin?!

Never met her and she’s an external supplier. She once took a month to respond to me.

I’ve requested something from her, three times and she ignored every single request.

Someone in admin then chased up this request and she responded straight away being very over the top saying “many thanks for your email” and “best wishes”

When in comparison when she has responded to me it’s not even hello or dear it’s just my name and then a full stop.

She also emailed a contract to my colleague when I’m the one dealing with it.

I just don’t want to deal with the passive aggressiveness for no reason at all.

Phone her?

10HailMarys · 17/08/2022 16:40

Haven't you posted about this woman before?

SomeUnspokenThing · 17/08/2022 16:43

If you've never met her and she doesn't know you then I'd recommend ignoring all the crap and not giving it any headspace.

But when you follow up with her for anything, make sure to reply-all to your message so the full email trail is documented. And make a voodoo doll.

Always find comments like this weird. Would it even matter? Also if you think you recognise threads then maybe it’s time to get off an Internet forum once in awhile.

I’d go above her next time. Tell the stupid woman a lesson.

Aquamarine1029 · 17/08/2022 16:51

Go over her and/or copy her boss in every email, every time.

Bananasalad · 17/08/2022 16:56

Can you not phone the office, to check that she's receiving the emails as you are concerned you may have the wrong email address.

Grumpusaurus · 17/08/2022 17:02

Well, in that case find out who the managing director or someone much higher is and contact them directly:

Do lots of things get under your skin OP? 😊

So that’s a yes then 😂

Brigante9 · 17/08/2022 17:40

Do you have her email? I was waiting and waiting for something and eventually very politely went above the person to their manager with a ‘many thanks for any help in this matter you can give’. She immediately responded with what I wanted.

TheNewSchmoo · 17/08/2022 17:44

Perhaps she doesn't like you. Perhaps in a previous interaction you've been as warm and friendly as you come across in this post.

Best wishes.

Melassa · 17/08/2022 17:53

If she’s a supplier then why don’t you just go elsewhere? I had similar a few years ago, in my case it was a misogynist wanker so I stopped including him in tenders. The MD came crawling back after several months but it was too late as I’d found better suppliers in the meantime. So I suppose wanker did me a favour. Is this a product you can only buy from this supplier?

Oh well thankfully I don’t care about being liked. I’d rather just remain professional with people.

An Internet forum and a job in finance are two very different things.

Hope that helps and best wishes to you too.

@Melassa @AfterTheStarsComeOut This!

Grumpusaurus · 18/08/2022 14:49

This is such a non problem! Go elsewhere or above that person. I find it odd that an employee at a supplier would behave in this way unless there is some prior issue. Seeing the interaction by the OP on here and her attitude, it is very possible that her behaviour has caused this.

CheeseyToasts · 18/08/2022 14:51

@AfterTheStarsComeOut

If you've posted about her before that means there is a backstory

Which you are choosing not to share
