To ask advice about tooth - do I need it checked?

Hi everyone
I think some enamel erosion has happened on my incisor tooth.

It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it and see it, it's on the back.

I would really like to avoid a dental bill. Does it actually need filling? If so, has anyone used the DIY kits? It doesn't hurt.

Thank you.

Hopeful bump.

Get it checked out by a professional. You will only feel at ease when you do.

I feel fine, I'm more at risk of forgetting about it and having the tooth crumble - if that's a risk at all, I don't know if it is?

Can we have a photo?

Too hard, it's behind. Just imagine a bit of enamel having peeled away. Quite hard to see anything.

I suspect some people might not even have noticed it tbh.

I have over brushed for years and my enamel is worn away on my front teeth. Can't tell, it's just what dentist tells me.

Are you sure that's what it is?

If so just buy enamel building toothpaste. No need to see dentist if it isn't painful

I suppose I can't be sure.

I do tend to end up with splayed brushes (I use an electric one).

I will go carefully and see what happens.
