To wonder how we’d co-exist with Neanderthals?

Imagine if Neanderthals survived and continued to co-exist with us today … how do you reckon that would pan out? Would they be given equal rights or treated like animals? Any history experts about? I find it fascinating.

To make it an AIBU - AIbU to wish they would create more documentaries on the subject of human evolution? There are so many on dinosaurs, why does nobody care about Neanderthals?

Based on history, it seems we'd shag them and then wipe them out.

Jasper Fforde's 'Thursday next' series of novels set in an alternative Britain includes Neanderthals who I think have been reintroduced through cloning. (Must re-read, wonderfully funny series set in a vividly imagined world. )
