To think my neighbour is a complete twat?

He's been revving his shitty clapped out car with its very very noisy engine on his drive for the last 25 minutes. I'm sat in the garden trying to enjoy the sunshine and a cold drink and all I can hear is that twatting thing. Would it be unreasonable to go and set fire to the fucker when he eventfully turns the engine off and goes inside?

Aaaarghhhh it's really fucking irritating.

He does it on a regular basis. Am plucking up the courage to go and ask him if he really thinks his neighbours appreciate listening to that racket on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.

Right have had enough. Two more incidents today. Have reported a noise nuisance to the council. I have no idea whether they take these things seriously but I don't see why I should have to go and confront a man for being a twat when he could turn aggressive.

My mum's neighbour used to do this, right outside her lounge window. She asked them to stop. They didn't. I visited.

Waited til they stared and went out looking all pretty and girly, smiled sweetly. They smiled, then I I launched in "what the FUCK is going on here? Turn that bloody noise off NOW! How dare you make such a racket and fumes in a residential neighbourhood, so close to other people's houses. You should be ashamed harassing an old lady like that" and went back inside.

They looked shocked, sheepish and a bit ashamed, they stopped . Never did it again. We're nice as pie to my mum after that.

I just plucked up the courage and went to speak to him. The twat smirked at me and said 'it hasn't been running that long and I'm trying to fix the car' to which I replied 'it bloody has and that's not really my problem is it' and stomped off. Aaaaargghhh he's going to do it more now isn't he. Fucking arsehole.

You should've told him he's been trying to fix it for x amount of weeks to no avail so that perhaps he should employ a professional

@girlmom21 I wish I'd thought of that in the moment. In reality he's been doing this for 11 years with various shit-heap cars since I've lived in this house. I wish I was joking but I'm not.

@HandbagsnGladrags do you have a friend who'll pretend to be a mechanic so you can take them round and say "look, Friend here has come to help" then they can look under the bonnet and under the car for a minute or two and just say "ah yeah it's scrap, sorry" for fun?

I had the same next door had a shitty vespa every Sunday at 7 in the morn he would start it in a shed rev the tits out the fucking thing 20 mins later turn it off for no point just to be a cunt so I got a crf 250 and repaid the favour much more noise and who don't love a crosser
