Dress with trouser legs

I've been searching for ages for a linen/cotton dress that I saw a lady wearing but it had legs sewn in. I've looked everywhere googling culotte dresses etc but can't replicate it. It's wasn't a jumpsuit as it wasn't fitted and didn't have a bib top. It definitely looked like a dress.

My AIBU is to think that it shouldn't be that hard to find one! Mumsnet wisdom required please.

If it's got trouser legs then it's a jumpsuit, not a dress. Jumpsuits aren't necessarily fitted.

It sounds like a very wide-legged culotte jumpsuit (I don't know what you mean by a bib top in the context of a jumpsuit/dress - that's something I'd associate with dungarees)

For example - this would look like a dress if you were standing with your legs closer together, but all the photos of jumpsuits will always have a slightly exaggerated 'legs apart' pose, to demonstrate/emphasise that it's not a dress!

If you google 'culotte jumpsuit' loads of results come up. A 'culotte dress' doesn't exist, so I'd change your search term.

Thanks all so far. The dress wasn't fitted at the waist. It was more like an a line shape with legs from about half way down the thigh if that makes sense?

I'm aware the term culotte dress doesn't exist; that was my way of trying to describe it. I referred to a bib because I have seen them but with a bib/dungaree top but I'm looking for more of a dress top half.

I wonder if it was Plümo? I can’t see it on their site now but I’m sure I saw something like that early in the season. Sort of a huge babygro, like a T shirt with legs.

Omg, I don't know if this is what you mean, but the female mayor character in teh animation Bad Guys wears something that is a cross between a dress and a jumpsuit and I just love it 😀 Like a skort but full body length instead of just waist down. Will see if I can find a pic.

Also, there are sarong style wrap trousers which I've had and loved in the past.
