to want my blood tests to show that something is wrong

I went to GP today as suffering from lightheadedness, dizziness and tiredness, been feeling a bit off for a few weeks now but the past few days have been much worse.
GP took bloods and told me the results would be back tomorrow and if anything is wrong a GP will phone me and if everything is ok then I won't hear anything.
Now I am hoping that my bloods come back showing something is wrong (hopefully nothing too serious) because if they don't I am expected to just carry on feeling like this 😢

I get you, I had similar and my results all came back normal. 🤷‍♀️

I get you too! Exactly the same symptoms. Plus most of those that tick the box for low thyroid. But nope. All is well with them, thyroid is borderline and the Doctor won't do anything.
Fingers crossed for you.

My DH had various health problems over the years, and we always said "we don't want to know what it isn't, we want to know what it is".

@sueelleker

That's how I feel if nothing shows on my bloods and it's nothing physical then it must be something mentally because I know I'm not myself, I feel so exhausted been off work 2 days and still no improvement.

I went to the GP thinking the same a while back. I was very tired and getting stomach pains after eating. I didn't go for weeks because I thought the tests would come back with nothing wrong and I just needed to change my diet but nothing was working. I can't even remember all the things that came back wrong! Inflammation markers in my blood were high, folate low, b12 low, iron low, something else I can't even remember and then an ultrasound showed I have gallstones. I was totally shocked that it wasn't all just in my head! I hope it turns out to be some kind of deficiency OP something that's easily treated Smile

Could it just be the busyness of life in general making you tired?
I get dizzy and lightheaded from low blood pressure (which is a good thing obviously).

I'd suggest getting a copy of the results either way. Sometimes you can be told results are 'fine' if things are all broadly in a (sometimes wide) range but if your iron & ferritin is on the low side or your TSH for thyroid on the high side they can cause issues until treated.

I feel that. I had to go to hospital on Thursday with suspected appendicitis. I had bloods. I had a CT scan. I had plenty of painkillers. Everything was clear. Had to go back on Friday morning and have an ultrasound. Still clear.

Doctor claimed it may have been a pulled muscle. All this bloody pain. And it’s a muscle.

I have had dizziness and nausea in top.

That's what i thought that it might be life making me tired but I made sure I rested as much as possible over the weekend and I still feel terrible.

Are you a vegetarian or vegan?

Make sure you get a copy of the results. I had “normal” results. I was actually really poorly. Thankfully used medical insurance to see a consultant who was concerned about one of the readings and able to treat it properly. My GP service is totally subpar!!

I sent DS1 to docs recently because of similar symptoms. He hasn't seen a Dr (or had any sickness) since he was 10. He is a fit and healthy 23yr old who is exhausted, dizzy, headaches, sore throat, aching.

All bloods and tests came back clear. The only thing we can attribute it to was the mild dose of covid he had at Easter - that's 4 months ago 😩

Lots of rest, fluids, proper meals and extra multivits. He says he feels like an old man more than half the time.
