Does it wreck your iPhones battery if you use the phone while it’s charging?

YANBU - yes it wrecks it if you use it while it’s charging
YABU - no it’s fine to use while it’s charging

I phones are prone to a relatively short battery life 😳

Built in obsolescence 😳😳

I've never heard that it does. What makes you think so?

I hope not. I use mine as sat nav for long journeys and it always charging at the time

If this is a follow on from the thread where the iPhone was an iPhone 7, yes it did. It doesn’t affect iPhone 11s and up.

My DH mentioned it before when I was using it while on charge and i said it felt a bit hot the phone xx

Yep.
iPhone 11 is when they added battery monitoring features. In earlier iPhones using it while charging could cause excess heat which would prematurely age the battery. IPhone 11s and later they have a feature that adjusts charging speed based on how much processing you’re doing while using the iPhone so no excess heat is generated.

They’re average. Equivalent to a Samsung.

Didn’t know that was bad!!

My iPhone 11 is slowly dying. If I use it with 4G it sucks the life out of the battery. Same, if I charge it and use it, the phone gets hot.

Yes excess heat is bad. If you are having that with an iPhone 13 it’s probably the case causing that.
