Am i being unreasonable, to be more nervous/stressed/worried/excited about the higher results tomorrow than the child.

DC as cool as a cucumber.

Any others in the same boat?

It’s exactly the same in this house!

DD won’t even let me wake her up when the results text is due in at 8am. How unreasonable of her! 😂

springbreak22 · 08/08/2022 20:03

Haha exactly the same here, told me to wake her at 930am 😳.

I've seen 2 news reports one said the text will be out between 1am and 9am and the other said from 8am.

I was never this stressed about my own!

Yip, my kids didn't sign up for the text so I'll be waiting nervously for the postie! Not that they'll get up to open it until the afternoon....

uhtredbebbanburg · 08/08/2022 20:12

Nat 5 household here. DD also didn’t sign up for text results so hanging out for the postie tomorrow. Good luck everyone!!

Purpleforthewin · 08/08/2022 20:13

My daughter's away camping so don't know when I'll actually hear.

ShittyCar · 08/08/2022 21:12

Yanbu
DC has gcse results in a few weeks, so not quite the same.
I am happy that they studied and tried their hardest. They know they did too, and are definitely going to do well, butnwant certain scores and will be gutted if they don't get them. Even tho thengrades they get will be good anyway, iyswim? They have high expectations of themselves. So i worry about that.

dehloh · 08/08/2022 21:13

It's usually around 8am, 2016/17/18/19 were anyway!

ItsLikeSputnik · 08/08/2022 21:18

Good luck tomorrow to all those waiting for results.

springbreak22 · 08/08/2022 21:30

'It's usually around 8am, 2016/17/18/19 were anyway!'

This is good so I may actually get some sleep!

Nat 5 house here with ASD dc who failed 4 last year and managed one🥲. So important for their confidence to get at least another two of the three they were allowed to sit.
it’s so unfair for children with additional needs who struggle with their learning.
my arse is knitting buttons tonight

Sarahplane · 09/08/2022 00:14

Me too. My DD forgot to sign up to the text in time so will be anxiously waiting for the postie. I'm definitely more nervous than DD.

springbreak22 · 09/08/2022 06:39

Managed about 5 hours sleep.

Good luck everyone!

Okay

uhtredbebbanburg · 09/08/2022 13:39

Ugh! Sorry for that, predictive text and send. Hope everyone did well! All good here though my DD practically bit the postie’s hand off 😂

springbreak22 · 09/08/2022 15:27

Over the moon here also.

Been ditched to go out with the pals 😆
