To ask how long your iPhones charge lasts?

DH has to carry a charger around with him, he has a 12. It is really bad, but he is glued to it all day!

Yes mine last almost 2 days but its fairly new. Iphone 13 pro max.

Previously had the 12 which I had for almost 3 years and by the 1st year it couldn't last a day.

On another note, is “low power mode” supposed to come on automatically when my iPhone reaches a certain charge? This doesn’t happen on mine but does on my friends xx

You can check your battery health on your iPhone.

Go to Settings > Battery. Tap Battery Health.

I don't know where that gets you though

However, it informed me this morning that last week I had used it an average of six minutes a day. That may be why.

Are power banks any good? Was already thinking about buying one anyway xx

I get around 6/7 hrs use on my iPhone 12 mini but that is literally constant non stop internet. More like 12-18 hours if I’m using it just a bit.

What was really handy was getting a 20w charger rather than use a standard 5w. Will go from zero to 90% charged in about half hour now.

If I don't use it much 2-3 days. If I dare to use the internet/apps about 10 hours

Where did you get that charger from please? My charger takes way longer than that xx

Depends how much I use it. Under heavy use it will only last around 6 hours, if I use it lightly it will last all day.

@Queenmummy8 from currys/pc world. It’s an official Apple charger, the plug bit is more square, like a cube almost and the prongs fold out. It was £20.

I’ve got a basic iPhone 13 and use it for anything that needs a computer as I can’t be bothered turning on the desk top or my ancient iPad. The charge lasts all day.
The same certainly couldn’t be said for the iPhone 8 it replaced - towards the end with far less use I was lucky if the charge lasted until lunch time

Very much depends what I'm doing. Location services are a killer, if we're on a long journey and I've got Google maps on then I'll usually plug it into the charger. Otherwise it'd probably last a day or two.

I have an iPhone XR and the charge is lasting less time than it used to. Battery health 86%. I went to an Apple Store last week and was advised to do the following (especially if you have a zillion apps like I do).

Settings>Notifications>turn off. If you use the maps as satnav don't turn off notifications on those.
Settings>general>Background Apps refresh>turn off

Not sure yet how much difference its made and if I'm out all day I carry an Anker battery pack.

Hmm. It also lists what apps etc are using most power. 99% should obviously be good.

Yes it has safari and the social media apps at the top but I don’t use them that much or at least I didn’t think I did xx

My friend who I’m out with now still has 43% and said she hasn’t charged it since last night! Mine would never last that long x
