Make your own with some potatoes

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 05/08/2022 20:33

Just go buy them yourself?

Whadda · 05/08/2022 20:36

If he thinks chips are expensive, wait til he sees how much kids cost.

Seriously though, why don’t you buy your own chips? And don’t share them with that miserable bastard.

curlyhairedd · 05/08/2022 20:42

What does he mean by too expensive? Will it put you at financial difficulty if he does buy you chips? You need to explain further

hellosunshineagainx · 05/08/2022 20:48

Omg this was just a joke 🤣 its because where we get them from have increased a portion from £2 to £3
We shop Saturdays so have hardly anything left in the fridge/cupboards. Especially that I fancy eating as been throwing up most of the day whilst looking after 3yo ds 🤣

When I was preggo all I wanted was chips on white bread with butter.. everything else made me wanna puke..

I would flatly ignore your husband and get down the chippy…

PonyPatter44 · 05/08/2022 20:51

If its a joke, tell people its a joke. There are people in this country for whom a 50% rise in the cost of chips would mean they genuinely couldn't have them.

Since its a joke though, tell him to bugger off and get you some chips.

The replies sometimes my lord. You don't need to talk to me about the realities of the cost of living crisis I see it every day in the work I do. People are still allowed to joke!

I'm not joking about being starving or homeless or any of the other really awful things increasing all around us that have been for years because of a Tory government. It was a shit storm before covid its just been amplified by the pandemic, brexit and several more years of tory rule.

Simply a pregnant person complaining lightly about my lack of chips

Oh, fancy some chip shop chips now. Thanks 😂

Fluffyfluffflufffluff · 05/08/2022 21:41

How are people meant to know it's a joke? There was no context in your original post and we don't know the economic circumstances of your local chippie.

Anyway, with all that said, enjoy your chips 😊
