Saw the recent thread about stupid no one tells you about parenting and found it funny and interesting.

I don't have children (yet) but I do have a crazy large high energy dog who drives me mad but love her

Grrr pressed post too early. Meant to also say: I'll start with, she won't just drink her water and swallow it. She will gulp loads of water than walk around panting, dripping water all over the floor and flooding the kitchen constantly lol
Any stupid relatable stuff your pets do? 😁

As a pup my basset hounds ears were over large for her body- which meant she often tripped over them when running, or they fell into her food bowl whilst eating and she'd accidentally nip them and then run yelping away from the bowl. We had to use a soft scrunchie to hold them up in the end so she could eat in peace- although she still growls at food bowls and before walking downhill - to ward off whatever spooks it was that made her fall/ nipped her back in the day

I have a ridiculous cat. If his food is too 'wet', he'll hook the chunks of meat out with his paw them eat it off his paw.

He also goes out for an early morning poo after breakfast, after which he always trots back in, full of the joys of spring, and proceeds to gallop up and down the stairs and along the landing like a bloody elephant thundering about. It's the funniest thing. Especially when he gallops into the kitchen and can't corner on the wooden floor so goes skidding along.

He's 14 bloody years old. Silly sod.

Where to start Grin I have a ridiculous cat
He gazes at me constantly (it's his favourite thing to do)
Currently he will only drink out of a glass, the tap or rainwater off the windowsill
He goes crazy for milkshake and will climb on you to try and lick your mouth
He can say mama

Oh- and my cats appropriated my bedside drawer as their bed. I've had to empty it of "good" knickers and put in decoy knickers to avoid the real ones getting furry. They can open all the drawers, but they don't want the other drawers- just the middle one, and it's not the same without knickers and socks in it apparently.

Our cat likes to lie on the patio and chunter at the pigeons who mock her from the wall. She’s so indignant that they dare to be there.

If you are old enough to remember those public safety ads with “Charlie says” she sounds just like that.

I have a Giant continental Rabbit, who likes to wedge herself behind her hutch and the hedge- Despite having a huge garden to run around every Am (& Then back in her large pen)
I also have a mini lop Rabbit, who likes to 'Flop' (Quite common for rabbits) still send s my heart racing as I think he has literally 'Dropped dead'.
We have 2x cats too...1 acts like a lap dog towards everyone, very much likes to be in your personal space ( right in your face purring) the other hates strangers & is the most laziest entitled cat!!
All v.amusing
