Hoping it's ok to post here for traffic.
Went to an optician today, website says "we are proud to offer an NHS eyecare service in all our opticians".
Went home and looked at prescription which stated private prescription and no NHS voucher for glasses (for my under 16 DD). Phoned the optician and apparently they aren't yet registered with the NHS despite what the website says. Phoned head office and was told that the newer branches WILL be registered with the NHS soon. I explained that their website told me they ARE proud to offer an NHS eyecare service which is different to WILL BE.
So annoyed as was a complete waste of my 2 house getting daughter to the optician, doing the test and getting home and probably now need to repeat the whole thing again and rebook for an appointment elsewhere.
Surely it's not ok to claim on a large company website that they offer an NHS service if they aren't yet registered with the NHS?
