Tell me about your worst interviews

I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
Had a awful interview today… For a job I just know I would love! I had spent so much time preparing but it felt like the questions didn’t fit the role? So I couldn’t show off demonstrate all my knowledge and hours of research I had put in. I really wanted it 🥲

I almost felt like they felt sorry for me as they watched me scramble 😵‍💫 Very long too. With far too many people interviewing and then finished with a timed test and task which I completely butchered. Lovely. I feel like I need to wash off the experience!

Any shared experiences which stand in solidarity is appreciated!

Oh and did a presentation which was running over, so panicked, read out a few, flicked through the rest and cringed myself inside out. Then messed up some really easy questions before finally breaking my glasses.

So three bad interviews!
Oh God, make that four. I forgot the outreach sex educator one where my flyers had Let's talk about sex on them and I was trying to persuade them that I was indeed young enough to go out clubbing to hand out condoms...

Tell me about your current role - could I fuck and one of the interviewers was my manager oh how I loved him. Took the piss out of me for ages after

The one where a recruitment agency sent me for an international sales job because I had 2 languages at A level. It was with a well known designer handbag company .

  1. I had said to the agency that I wasn't interested in sales jobs.
  2. I barely scraped passes in my a levels.

I had one for an Excel based job, and it had a test. Sadly all of the questions revolved around the answer to the first question and my mind went blank. I sat alone in a room for 20 minutes just staring at this laptop hoping for a miracle. When the interviewers came back in I had to admit I'd done nothing. Unsurprisingly I didn't get the job. Embarrassingly I already worked at the company in a different capacity so had to see them all of the time 😳
