There’s multiple stories on here about CF, but I bet most of us have been a CF without realising and now cringe at our mistakes…so hit me with your personal CF stories!

i will go first:

  • I remember being 18 and finding £5 in someone’s car then being disappointed when they pointed out it must be theirs and I couldn’t keep it

Next door neighbour showing us his extension plans which included joining it to the side of our detached house, long story but it never happened 😂

I was cooked a Sunday dinner every week by my lovely landlords (I was a lodger) and I never, ever so much as offered to wash up, clear up, or contribute 😳 I now feel so embarrassed by this!

I gave a coffee machine away on a fb site which was hardly ever used and relatively new. It was a fad my DH soon got bored of. A local lady asked for the machine so I dropped it off to her, she seemed grateful for it. Around 3 months later I received quite an aggressive fb message off the woman telling me the coffee machine had stopped working and she has numerous boxes of KRUPS that ate nownno use and basically said I was disgraceful for giving away something that had such a short life that was obviously faulty. I've cost her money and I should contribute towards a new coffee machine. She even posted on the free site on fb that people shouldn't have anything off me because I give away faulty goods.....I shit you not, this actually happened!! Even now 4 years on I am still flabbergasted by her CFuckery!!

When with my ex, his friends who I’d never met invited us to stay for a weekend. I took a bottle of semi decent fizz with me as a guest for the hostess and she seemed really happy. She later asked me what I wanted to drink and offered me a choice of 2/3 things to which I replied ‘oh no, I’ll just have a glass of that (wine I’d given her as a gift) thanks.’ Cringe!

So many more that will come back to me soon, I’ll post any I remember 🤦🏻‍♀️

Eh it's not that bad. In French culture (I married a French man) it's polite to offer the guest the wine they bought first before your wine.

I once found a fiver on the floor near an Icecream van and said to my friend " ooo I'm going to get an ice cream" I didn't think to offer her one! But I was only 11.

When chatting to my in-laws to be I spoke about how hard it was when I got married the first time as ex dh parents had paid for all of their dd wedding and not of ours. We had got married in the same year so they had a big lavish wedding and we had scrimped for a much smaller one. Didn't think that maybe it sounded like I was hinting..... (I really wasn't)

@gallina Yes I realised I hadn't read it properly so asked for it to be deleted. Thank you for your continued vigilance.
