To shout at kid throwing rocks

Went to a popular beach today where there is a massive tidal lido on the beach. I was with dd (4) who was paddling in the shallow end, and some kid around 10-12 went around the far side and started lobbing rocks from the beach in. He started aiming closer and closer to us until one landed a foot away from dd. I shouted at him to not throw rocks near people. He stopped but gave me so much attitude and kept picking up rocks and aiming them near other kids instead, no parents anywhere clearly in sight.

I moved dd away, just can’t get over the attitude and anger. Never figured out who he was with.

Yes children are allowed to do whatever they want now. If you try to stop them, you get abuse from a parent. It's why there's a recruitment crisis in teaching. I'm sorry that happened to you though, awful behaviour from the child and awful parenting too.

Just can’t get over how crap some parents are.
