Im not sure if it's the mattress that's causing the problem - I think it might be . I'm waking up every hour or so, and my mattress seems to be boiling. So I put the fan on it, walk around for a bit to let it cool down. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, we had one in our holiday let a couple of weeks ago when it was really hot. DH moved into one of the single beds as they didn't have the foma mattresses as he couldn't sleep on the foam mattress.

I slept in one on holiday last week and every time I woke up and moved, the spot under where I was lying was absolutely baking hot. I really disliked it, I like to be cold when I'm sleeping.

Yes, it will be your mattress. Any 'proper' bed shop will warn you about this.

Saladd0dger · 02/08/2022 13:00

Yes. Exactly why we got rid of ours

TabithaTittlemouse · 02/08/2022 13:03

We changed our mattress because of this.

ClaryFairchild · 02/08/2022 13:07

Yep, loathed ours. Way too hot. A thin memory foam topper is all I can handle on a bed.

NCHammer2022 · 02/08/2022 13:15

Yes, I hate them for this reason!

PolliFlinders · 02/08/2022 13:17

Had to get rid of ours because of this.

sunsetsandsandybeaches · 02/08/2022 13:31

Yeah, all memory foam gets really hot under pressure. I have memory foam shoes and can't wear them for long in summer for the same reason.

I could never have a memory foam mattress.

SeasonFinale · 02/08/2022 13:33

yes we bought new mattresses recently and were specially told by the sales staff that if we were the type that got hot in the night to avoid memory foam mattresses

Thatswhyimacat · 02/08/2022 13:38

Yes, unfortunately they're well known for this.

dementedma · 02/08/2022 13:38

Yes but they make up for it by being soooo cosy in winter

WeRateSquirrels · 02/08/2022 14:07

Ours has been fine. But then I think I must be some sort of lizard as I've slept brilliantly throughout the hot weather and don't even own a fan.

Wouldloveanother · 02/08/2022 14:08

Yes, currently sleeping on a mat on the floor as I can’t bear it!

Londonrach1 · 02/08/2022 14:12

Yes, one night in a hotel on one and decided to never buy one

ChilliPB · 02/08/2022 14:14

Stayed somewhere on holiday once that had one, it was horrible! Would never buy one for that reason.

SunflowerSmith · 02/08/2022 14:16

They are warm but as we get more cooler days than hot they are beneficial for a lot of the year, you'll be glad of it when the heating bills are high this winter!

Having said that I found ours really uncomfortable so got rid and now have a Simba mattress.

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 02/08/2022 14:17

Mine is fine. Blush
