Saga Car Insurance

YABU - They are fine
YANBU - They are terrible

My wife scraped the side of her lovely car on a bollard - her first ever accident on Fri 17/6/22. We were able to make a call and talk to a person to help us file the claim on Monday 20/6/22. Since then we have been unable to ring anyone up and talk to anyone - their numbers all take you to a message that says they are very busy and unable to take calls ATM - they then also say claims are taking longer because garages are having problems getting parts - for us this is not the problem. We have emailed numerous times and only received automated replies so we are completely unable to contact them in any way. I'm guessing we are not alone - does anyone know what is going on inside Saga?

I have emailed Saga with all the details explaining why I want to lodge a complaint - they have completely ignored all these emails so I can't even start a complaint.

I am going to try and use the legal protection policy to see if I am within my rights to give Saga say 7 days notice that we are going to go ahead with the repair work as we have not had a response from them - we have supplied photos of the VIN number, photos all round the car and close ups of the damage - they have had everything including details quote from the garage - I feel like we have paid for insurance services and are not receiving what we paid for; we are receiving nothing.

Any suggestions on how to proceed or info on what is going on at Saga would we welcome.
