What have the queues been like and how many rides were you able to go on?

My options in order are

Thorpe Park
Chessington
Drayton Manor
Paultons Park
Alton Towers - further down list due to distance
Lego land - further down list as not sure if DC have outgrown

Any recent experiences welcome 🙏

We have been to Legoland last Tuesday, Thorpe Park on Friday & Chessington on Saturday (Merlin Annual Passholders!)

Legoland was not too busy at all. No queues over 1 hour that I noticed. It was an overcast day with a forecast for a small amount of rain.

Thorpe Park was again not as busy as I thought. Even big rides didn't have massive queues eg 35 mins for Nemesis Inferno.

Chessington was the busiest of the 3, maybe because it was a weekend? Lots of queues 1 hour plus, although lots under eg 15 mins for Zufari, 10 mins for Monkey Swings etc.

We usually find that if you arrive early enough, you can be queuing & do 2 big rides within the first hour. Then we go for smaller rides like carousel, monkey swings etc & jump on any big rides if we see smaller queues.

I must also add that DS2 has autism & ADHD so we have an RAP & can queue virtually instead of standing in line. This makes a massive difference for us. However, when we are timed out of rides we follow the same principle of getting smaller rides or playgrounds etc done.

Btw my DC are 8, 11 & 13 & not outgrown Legoland! Rides are smaller but lots of other stuff to do eg Miniland & big slides in the water park.
