To want to watch a non-political comedian?

We’re off to the Edinburgh Fringe to support a student family member and their show but would like to watch a couple of others whilst we’re there.

As far as I can tell, most comedians these days seem to be left wing, political and unfunny.

I have the Ed Fringe programme but it is like a telephone directory!

Can anyone recommend a funny, non-political (or at least non-left wing g remainer London type) show? Sketch or stand-up?

I used to love DinnerLadies, Fawlty Towers, Black Books, IT crowd etc,Father Ted etc.

I just want to laugh rather than be preached at!

Craig Hill. "I always knew I had it in me". He's non-political, and absolutely hilarious.

We go to the fringe every year and I don’t find it preachy at all. We’re ex-northerners who are high earners.
it’s fun.
You need to book lots of stuff and some will be crap and some great.
we saw Six there for it’s foundation run, Lewis Hamilton - which was amazing and loads of great comedy. Everything is cheap and if you don’t like it - you leave. We did have a family leave doing one comedy entitled something along the lines of “masturbating to god/Jesus” as it really was not suitable for this guy’s teen.

it’s also all short, nothing longer than 50 minutes.

Oh and take a coat - it’s not always warm.

Thanks for the tips, any more?

Craig Hill is amazing, I've never known him to be political and he's extremely funny with a background in drama.

Tim Vine is at the Pleasance this year 👍🏻 Non stop puns.
I also like Olaf Falafel, but you would have to be ok with audience participation 😄

If you can get a returned ticket, Kevin Bridges.

Milton Jones, but I don’t know if he is doing Edinburgh though.

What does being a high earner have to do with it?
