What is yours do you recommend it? Me and my partner just moved into our first home we don't have a clue about it it's just the 2 of us if that helps

We have 200mbs with virgin media and regular checks online show it to be regularly close to that speed. We have a ds who games, and we use netflix etc, and i work from home doing video calls etc and its brilliant. Probably more than enough

WiFi speed and Broadband speed are different things.
So are you referring to the connection to your home (broadband speed), or the connection between your router and your mobile devices (WiFi speed)?

Have a look at: labs.thinkbroadband.com/local/postcode-search
Enter your postcode and see what it says about typical broadband speeds in your area.
If you are only using one or two devices at the same time, then you probably do not need more than 40mbps download.

Another speed map: www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/broadband-speed-in-my-area.html
Seeing what others in your area are getting can help determine what you should be able to get. If you want 100mbps but local people are not getting more than 50mbps, then no point in paying for 100mbps.

Virgin media is the best and fastest in my area but it’s also expensive.

I’ve just changed to a cheaper company but I notice the difference in speed and regret it already.
