(Lighthearted) AIBU to have thought during a 12 month plus Mat Leave I'd have had some lovely days out occasionally?

Seriously. Can't catch a break with our very much wanted DD 😂

We're nap trapped as she really needs her naps and only sleeps in her cot. That in it's self is an achievement as she'd only sleep on me for the first 7 months of her life! As a result our loving family home resembled a student hovel as I could literally not move a muscle several periods in a day!

We're now able to enjoy short trips out between, before or after naps but not full days... I think I was really naive pre birth, envisaging stress free coffee shop trips in the newborn months whilst DD would peacefully sleep in a pram, maybe lovely walks down the river, through the countryside etc then day trips to bigger towns, DD would nap in her pram when needed etc... Beach trips, again nap in a tent if required... For almost a year she refused the pram, I had her in a carrier everywhere!

Even with the carrier, or now pram, I literally can't take her 5 minutes away from the hub bub of town for a walk in nature without her melting down because there are no people/ things going on 😆

I must have been unreasonable thinking that at least occasionally we'd have some nice trips somewhere different than town, park, home and baby groups 😂😂😂
