Karaoke Inspiration

Not really an AIBU (sorry!), but a shameless post to ask for your favourite karaoke tunes - either to sing or listen to others singing? I have an event with karaoke coming up, and would like to branch out from my usual trusty faves and have a bash as something different. Would love to hear your thoughts for some inspiration. Am quite a confident singer, so not too scared of anything big and loud, and also a fan of a power ballad. A million thanks in advance x

I truly don't think I can sing particularly well but I used to do karaoke with a friend of mine - we used to sing 'Black Velvet'. One night she wasn't there and I still sang it on my own and it felt awesome! So I'd always pick that song now!

niki26 Black Velvet is a tricky one to sing! As is Alone by Heart. Love the song but would never attempt that one unless I wanted to empty the place!

I always sing La Isla Bonita by Madonna or Rotterdam by The Beautiful South. I know my limits!

In a karaoke bar recently in Portugal this woman did Gangstas Paradise. It brought the house down! She had amazing stage presence
