Need handhold - chaotic parents no content insurance & fire

Not sure really how to phrase this but feeling very stressed.
Aged father still working, though these days it's even less financially lucrative than it has ever been. Long story short, the commercial unit he was renting for his small engineering business caught fire , the result of a neighbouring unit using inflammable liquid and exposed flame by an excessive amount of tyres. (Excessive: lease stipulated no more than 100 tyres in outside space, there were more, I am told - v recent drone footage of this)

It now transpires that my Dad has no content insurance at all. He's lost all his tools, equipment.
The first (ambulance chaser...) loss assessor I spoke with was not interested in pursuing further on ac no content as insurance.

Not sure where/how to go from here.

Siblings and I are all worried - all up to our ears with own worries and responsibilities - and not at all sure how to help, or even if we can.
This is just the latest in a long line of lurching from one disaster to the next.

I think you need to step back and not get drawn into it.

your dad is an adult who made a decision and is now having to face the consequences of that decision.

Can’t your dad not claim from the neighbouring unit’s insurance given it’s essentially their fault?

I think he's stuffed tbh unfortunately

Can he sue the neighbouring business? Given that it was negligence/recklessness rather than a true accident.
I am not in anyway in this field, just a thought. Would still take time though. First thing he needs to itemise everything in there.
