On a day when Centrica et al are enjoying billions in profits, it's only right I get a reminder to lock in my energy tariff. What a corking deal. I'll just let my mortgage provider know they'll have to wait on my payments.

Would I be unreasonable to rent my house out and camp in the garden?

(P.s. I live in a fairly standard three bedroom semi detached property).

Were in a large 4 bed and based on last years usage we are looking at £450 max

we don't pay dd they just want you to end up in millions pounds credit to them. we read meter and pay what we have used

Tbf the meter reading won't help that much with THAT unit costs.

We have a smart meter that submits readings automatically. We moved in about 2 months ago. Our bill this month was £76 (for both gas and electric) so God knows how they calculated our annual usage. Maybe they are basing it off previous owner? But there is no way I can agree to that direct debit. I'd rather sit in the cold and dark.

They are basing it on "average" use house afaik.
