I am well aware and engaged with the serious problems in the world, but this is just a lighthearted observation (albeit quite depressing). I never go to bars/nightclubs etc, way too old, but we are on holiday in a hot/ beach place and last night had some childcare available so DH and I went for supper and then happened on a cocktail bar beach place, with music etc. We stayed for one drink before deciding we were really too old and heading home.
In that time we observed the behaviour of the young people. The girls were all nicely dressed up, makeup, pretty hair decorations etc etc. The boys were in groups of boys and all glued to their phones. They didn't even interact much with each other, never mind the girls. The girls were dancing with each other. No boy even looked at them in the 20 minutes or so that we were there.
How are humans going to continue procreation if this is how young men operate now? (Not advocating for the boys harassing the girls but sure the whole point of being in the bar is to at least try to pull? It certainly was in my day, a million years ago I admit).
