Which supermarket sells the cheapest smoked salmon slices?

I miss smoked salmon.

I used to buy it maybe once every few months as a treat and at Christmas.

I went to buy some yesterday for the first time in ages and I think it averaged about £30 per kilo. Obviously I wasn't buying a kilo but the resulting price for a few slices just wasn't justifiable.

Does anyone know a supermarket with it on special offer or the cheapest place to get some?

Aldi is usually a good bet?

Asda and Tesco sometimes sell smoked salmon trimmings. At Asda they are currently £15.90 per kg. Will give you your smoked salmon fix for half the price.

Aldi / Lidl. But I find that the tesco one tastes better & does cost a little bit more.

Smoked trout is a good alternative and often in Lidl at better prices.

I think the Lidl one is very nice. Good texture and flavour, not slimy like the Morrisons version!

Trimmings have always been a cheaper, and i think better, version than slices.

I use the trimmings loads, and the basic ones at that, for smoked salmon mousse or in pasta.

if you want nice stuff for sandwiches I agree the Aldi Lidl stuff is palatable.

Aldi is where usually go for seafood. It's really reasonably priced and is decent quality.
