The cost of living crisis we are facing is unprecedented and with news that the energy price cap is now expected to reach £3,850 by October, I can’t help thinking that it was incredibly stupid and also rather selfish of certain members of the Tory party to launch a leadership contest.
We are facing a crisis of epic proportions. I actually feel that this is as serious/ if not more serious than the Covid pandemic.
All the focus and attention seems to be on the leadership contest. Both contenders are pretty uninspiring. I’m not interested in who wins as I have no intention for voting this sorry lot in ever again.
I feel that if these politicians really cared about the future of our country and for the well-being of those that live in it then they would put aside their career aspirations and focus on putting in measures to help resolve this issue.
Im just shocked at the lack of reporting by news sites such as the Dm on this issue. All they seem to focus on is Sunak and Truss.
