DH WFH and plays with DS (6&7) every spare second he gets.

This is fab of course but AIBU to say this is not sustainable? DS are not great at creative play because they never get much time for it. If they are settled, he bounds in and interrupts with a better suggestion. It’s his work break and he wants to play with them regardless.

He says playing with them is how he relaxes which is fair enough but it's affecting me as it’s making me step away from them more to balance it out. I’m the only one helping them build up a bit of independence and creativity which I feel they should be enjoying at this age. I also get all the moaning, rudeness and arguing when I explain Mummy is busy for a while. I want them to see him relax and enjoy watching them come up with great games and ideas themselves too.
