Bee productivity and poor systems management.

Bee propaganda has it that they are very busy. And yes, sitting here observing them doing bee activities on this lavender bush I will give them that.
But are they PRODUCTIVE?
Seems to be an awful lot of bobbing about between different flower heads whereas I think if they systematically attended to each one in turn they could be getting more bang for their bee-buck, as it were.
I think I should write to someone about this. So much flagrant waste.

I also think they might be stupid. One just flew in the house and I spent a considerable amount of MY TIME getting it out of the house in a humane and calm fashion only for it to persistently attempt to get back in again.
Dumb arse.
Get back to the lavender you idle sot.

It's not just bees. I cannot believe how much energy butterflies must waste flitting about, doing nothing in particular.

However, you mustn't complain about the bee-bobbing. We wouldn't have enough pollination going on otherwise, would we.
