We seem to have peetered out.
I feel in part happy , in part am i supposed to be active?
I have pain post menopause on last few occasions. Then it just didnt happen. It.sort.of feels quite liberating , but also feels like we are not supposed to.be thos way . Aibu to wonder if this is normal.?

If you're both happy with it that's all that matters.

If you've had pain on the last few occasions, it would probably be a good idea to see your doctor for some Ovestin cream, which will help plump up the skin cells in the region, helping to prevent pain, UTIs, and so on into the future - whether or not you are planning to be sexually active again.

It's "the norm and OK" - in fact, essential - not to have sex whenever you don't want to have sex. It's not the norm and not OK to have sex when you don't want to have sex.

I'm 63. Mine stopped a few years ago, DH has severe erectile dysfunction and it didn't respond to treatment. He felt bad about it, i didn't want him to feel like that , so we both just stopped talking about it. Were very affectionate but nothing else. I think that if you are both ok about it, that's fine.

Dh wd like to , its his way of expressing closeness. Because we dont have sex he seems to have stopped hugging me etc as it makes him want to.
I will get that cream, great idea. I just dont want to anymore but feel guilt about that. We have talked about it. He accepts it, sees other pluses in life, but misses that aspect.
I was wondering if many people our age have this experience as it does not seem to be discussed much at all .
