There are so many threads which are obviously started as a wind up. I can't believe how many people think they are real. I usually spot quite early.

Well I reported one last week that I thought was an obvious wind-up but it turns out it wasn't. I don't think you can know your success rate really.90% of threads you've replied to could have been wind-ups. How would you know? This thread could be a wind-up.

Well I've had several threads over the year's which certainly wasn't made up and were ruined by poster's repeatedly saying they were.

It's an obsession on here ,I think some people use MN like a kind of sport!

I thought I was good at spotting wind up threads but I've had a couple of my own threads recently and been called a troll or that it's a reverse when it wasn't, it was all true unfortunately. So by that logic some of the ones I thought seemed false would have been genuine.

I think it's just in AIBU, some of the threads are just bizzarre.

I was thinking about the threads that get took down. I feel bad for the people who are replying and I'm like WTF.

Some people are so trusting and nice. I'm not that horrible in real life.

Yes, me too. It's so annoying when other posters are giving you helpful advice and others seemingly just come on the thread to act all outraged at you because what you are talking about couldn't possibly have happened. If you think a post isn't real report it but no need to comment on the thread. Honestly, if you've nothing useful to add, why bother?
