AIBU to think every sale goes like this:
item is posted. I’ll pretend it’s a table
person 1: hi is the table available
me: yes it is, would you like to come see it?
person 2 (5 mins later):
hi is the table available?
me: I’m afraid someone’s been in touch about it but if they change their mind I’ll let you know
person 2: great thanks! I really like it, can collect today
person 3: hi is the table available
person 4: hi is the table available
person 5: hi is the table available
a few hours later:
me, to person 1: hi - did you want the table? It’s just we’d like it out of the way and we’ve had other people interested
person 1: ok I can come tomorrow
me: ok great, what time?
Next morning:
person 1: I’ll be along this morning what’s your address
me: gives address
Person 1 never shows. Person 2 ends up collecting item.
I have had this happen this weekend with THREE separate items - each time, first person to reply flakes out and the second person ends up taking the item. If you don’t want it anymore, let me know! ARRGHHH
