To ask what on earth this is?

I’ve just moved into my flat. It’s living on the wall, I’ve googled it but can’t find anything

It’s a harvestman.

Can't see it very well but I think it's a harvester spider. It looks all gangly legged.

It seems content so it can stay there , thank you!

As above a harvestman. It's an arachnid, but not a spider. Perfectly harmless & keeps bugs at bay

I think it’s been munching on another spider actually there were 2 in there this morning and they’ve both disappeared

They're great for keeping the fly population down and don't seem to wander about much.

Well, every day's a school day! I didn't realise it wasn't actually a type of spider.

I only found out relatively recently myself. Apparently are all arachnids, but not all spiders. Spiders have a separate head & abdomen & these things have a 1 piece head & body.

I found one of those the other day. I'm really pleased that I now know what it is.
