I'm having an eco-stove installed, to replace an open hearth, and need to have the hearth re-tiled first. I was searching for slate tiles and got some results for porcelain slate tiles. Any thoughts from people who have them or have considered them? Although they're obviously less natural, I like their look online, but I don't want to regret the purchase.
