Passport question - any additional documentation needed?

Not sure if this is an Aibu I guess my question is am I right in thinking no more docs than passports needed (and wasn’t sure where to put the q)? Family will be in Spain on holiday. I’m flying out of Spain early from holiday to return to work. My husband will be returning a few days later with the kids. He has a UK passport they have Irish passports. Everyone has the same surname. Do we need to provide any supplementary documents (birth certificates marriage certificate etc) to prove that he is the father? I had assumed not as everyone has the same surname and I was on the outbound booking, but checked online and couldn’t find any info looking at this particular circumstance. Would very much appreciate any advice thanks…

I would pack copies of wedding and birth certs, plus a letter saying you are aware of them travelling with their father. Probably won't be needed, but better to have it and not need it. Especially with passports being different.

Thanks I think this might be safest too! Don’t want to miss flights etc with all the existing chaos
