What small thing do you still think about years later?

Does anyone else still think about total non-events days/weeks/months/years later?

When I was about 11/12 I went for a meal with my family and had lamb shank , which came with fairly standard roast type accompaniments, lots of gravy, veg and I think the potatoes were mashed. When I hadn’t eaten that much I found a black thing in the gravy. I held it up on my fork and showed it to my mum and asked her what she thought it was. She said “it’s a bean” and promptly ate it. It was too fat to say anything but I was and still am fairly sure it was a FLY! There weren’t any other beans in the dish and it didn’t really look like a bean. It still makes my toes curl and put me right off lamb shanks.

Ahhahahahahahhaha my dad once gave me a rolled up piece of steak fat covered in peppercorn sauce and told me it was a mushroom. I chewed for ages. It was hilarious tbf
