It's just started raining here, but probably won't come to much.

You go on and water your naskets in the rain - internet random here has given you the permission you need

Pots, possibly. Hanging baskets, definitely give them a water.

Simple fact, pots and especially baskets as PP has said do not get adequate water from rain in summer. So yes drench them 👍
