Walking in the rain

My teenage child wanted me to pick them up from their friends house, a 15 minute walk from ours) because it was raining.

I refused and the friends mother is now giving them a lift home because she doesn’t believe a teenager should be walking around in the rain.

AIBU to say it’s only water and to walk?

yabu - your little bunny wunny needs to rest their poor little legs and not chance getting their bouffant wet on the walk home

yanbu - it’s only water and the kid can walk, the exercise will do them good.

Whenever my children complain of walking in the rain, I always say “are you made of sugar?”

They shut up then

I've known thousands of teenagers and none of them dissolved in the rain.
Some did stink in the manner of wet dogs afterwards though 😂

This warm rain's pretty pleasant for walking in. Better than general humidity.

Wtf 😆. I'd be annoyed the other mum entertained this

yet millions of teens walk to school without a coat cos it’s not cool even in the rain!
